Welcome to Shebang 101This is where you get it together sister… routines, schedules, clutter control, and creating a perfect little she-spot to call your own. Shebang 101 is divided into 3 projects which you don’t have to do in order. However I do want you to do these projects before digging into the MONTHLY S.H.E. PROJECTS. Shebang 101 lays the groundwork for Organizing The Whole Shebang!
Shebang 101 Project #1: S.H.E. Routines
Creating morning, evening + weekly routines so you can do it all.
Shebang 101 Project #2: The S.H.E. IT Kit
Focuses on putting together a kit to control the she-itt in your life. I don’t like the C word… but you can call it a “clutter control” kit if you must.
Shebang 101 Projects #3: The S.H.E. Spot
It’s about finding that one place in your home you can call your own…
So sit back with a cup of joe or a bottle of vino + get your Shebang on. Cheers!

S.H.E. ROUTINES keeping you sane morning | evening | weekly
approx. 1 hour needed
items needed:
- clipboard or binder
- S.H.E. sample routine document click here
- S.H.E routine template click here
Life isn’t always as overwhelming as we make it out to be… When those little things seem overwhelming it’s time to get your groove back…get your routines back on track.
Your first shebang assignment is to create routines for your morning, your evening + your week.
These will consist of the piddly little tasks that we do every day or should do every day. If done at the correct time, these little buggers become well, less buggable.
For example: my evening routine includes prepping + setting the dishwasher to run while I’m sleeping and my morning routine lists emptying the dishwasher. This in turn allows me to put all the day’s dishes in the dishwasher instead of piling up on the counter which bugs me. I also review my planner each evening (so that I don’t lie in bed wondering what I’m supposed to do the next day). Not rocket science, yet… those little tasks written down, in order, somehow magically take the overwhelm out of my morning.
Before you dive in… VIEW the sample doc so you can get a visual… the big picture. INSERT DOC
After viewing the Sample Doc… You can get to work!
Open up the Routine Template + to start creating your own routines. INSERT TEMPLATE
TIP: Read each question then close your eyes + mentally walk through your day. As you think of each task, write it down on a post-it note (or on the printed out template).
1. Brainstorm all the things you can in the evening that will make your morning easier
2. Brainstorm all the things you can do in the morning that will make your day smoother.
3. Brainstorm all the things you can weekly to make your life less hectic.
4. Place items in order of importance. (this is where using post-its come in handy)
5. Type up your S.H.E. routines
6. Print out your S.H.E. Routines
7. Place your S.H.E. Routines in your Shebang Binder or on your clipboard.
8. Test out your routines for a couple of days. As you notice missing tasks add them and tweak things a bit to fit how you live.
Each month you will revisit your S.H.E. Routines so they stay fresh + functional.

S.H.E. SPOT the special little place in your home that is perfectly you
approx. 1 hour needed
Every girl needs a spot to call her own. Your shebang project #2 is to create that perfect little spot in your home. The end result is a spot where you can sit on the phone + chat with your best girlfriend and only gaze upon items you adore… no projects, no mess, no paperwork, nothing that needs your attention.
I carved out my S.H.E. SPOT in the living room. While the room isn’t “perfect”, as I often pile up my donation pile or my projects in the nearby dining room, I am able to sit on my couch with my back to the dining room and facing the window. That my pretties allows me to ignore the life’s chaos and focus on all things she…
1. Decide on your S.H.E. SPOT location
2. Declutter the area keeping only items you adore
3. Make it beautiful… add your favorite photo, a vase full of fresh flowers, a cozy blanket.
4. Crown this spot your own.

Shebang project #3
The S.H.E. itt KIT your secret weapon for staying clutter free
approx. 1 hour needed
I believe clutter (aka the C-word, which I like to avoid all together) is just a pile of decisions you have yet to make… and that’s okay because you were busy living life.
My philosophy is to make it as easy as possible to knock out this task. It’s quite possible to create this kit with items you may already have. However, I confess that I am much more apt to actually get excited about a project if it involves functional + fabulous products!
Gather up these items for your S.H.E. itt KIT:
- 3 Totes
- A gaggle of kitchen trash bags
- The Shebang Organizing Signs Download Organizing Signs- general use Place them in sheet protectors (so they stay pretty)
- Binder clips to attach signs to the totes
- A timer
- Some good music
