Yes, it's stinkin' cute... but she no longer plays with it. She wasn't ready to sell it and deemed it banished to the attic til' her own children are old enough to play with it. Well if my little sweet girl takes the same route her mama + grandma chose... that will be approximately 30 years from now... can you say 2039?
Instead we've opted to make the set a loaner... she was just loaded up into the neighbors truck for her 2 daughters to love for the next few years.
What toy really wants to be banished to the attic... and what do you have that you don't play with?

My grandfather made me a doll bed when I was young and it was also banished to the attic for the day that I had children...however I have 4 boys. What to do with the beloved doll bed? We borrowed it to my nieces and they are loving it! With a little luck, it'll become a family heirloom that we all share and treasure. :)

I think your grandfather would love that your nieces are playing with the doll bed!

An attic is just a delayed space before the dump. We all know it.

Boy this is such a tough decision. I've learned over the years to just let things go unless they have been handmade by a relative or handed down through the generations.
I've found that it's normally my attachment to the object, not my children's and I feel better blessing someone else with the toy rather than letting it collect dust.
