I know this happens to you.... you look around your house + get all pissy. All pissy about the little messes that feel HUGE. I decided to grab my camera and share with you the piddly things that were driving me crazy but in reality each area took me less than 5 minutes. (ok, except the kitchen sink where I needed to handwash some dishes)
I'll share if you share.... Let me know what's vexing you and how long it REALLY took you to solve the problem. Spill girlfriend.

I love this! You are so right - it is taking 5 minutes at a time!

I don't mind the cleaning up for five minutes, it's just discouraging when it needs to get done all over again. So I tend to leave it until the kids are asleep but then I don't want to waste my free time cleaning.

I agree with with Kelly.... I hate cleaning up the same mess over and over again!!! If it's not in the living room it's in their room, the Hallway, the bathroom, or the kitchen. Sometimes, it's in every room, at the same time. UGH! You tell them to clean it up, and it goes in one ear and well, you know the rest....

I too LOATHE cleaning up the same messes over + over... so I only 'stop ignoring' the piles when I find myself all pissy... hence the blog post + taking 5 minutes to get myself back in -non pissy mode ;)
OH... and get those kidlets to help- if they can pull it all out they can AT least take 5 minutes to help you feel sane again!

I wander how 2 people, (me and my husband)can let a house get so dirty. For lack of better words, because I think it's me more than him.
I'm extremely bad to pile up junk. Last yr. I eliminated stuff and stuff, and how did it get back into the shape it was in before. I don't know where to start? -- I can't do it all! Like today I washed clothes and had all the other things to do. -- And when it's grocery day, forget it I'm tired and I absolutely dread putting the things away. I buy in bulk. So I have to freeze whatever meat I have, can food, etc. etc. etc. I don't have a lot of room in my small kitchen. The kitchen is organized to my liking. My biggest problem is my small sewing/computer/hunting and everything else room. I have this one spot. I can't help but throw everything down in the floor telling myself I'll pick it up later. If you've watched Eleanor Burns quilting show, you'll notice how she throws fabric over her shoulders. (I've wandered who picks that up?) -- And to give myself credit I have cleaned and threw away many magazines. Oh! the dread of it all! I also have managed to straighten clothes for 3 drawers. Now, if I could just keep my bedroom and sewing room cleaned I'd be one happy woman.
5 minutes a day, I think I'll try that.
