Clothing...
Your clothes closet is a hot bed of emotional decisions! Most closets are full of wishful thinking and museum pieces. You’ll have more decisions to make and more categories to consider, but by now you’re seasoned at sorting and purging and can handle the task at hand!
Add sign categories: Alter/Repair, Try on, and Return.
The first closet run through should be easy, the second run through a bit tougher. If you have a large number of “need to decide” items take the time to try them on again or place the hangers going in the opposite direction of the others. This will remind you later which items you truly don’t gravitate toward hence making the donate decision a whole lot easier.
Just remember the 80/20 rule. You wear 20% of your clothing 80% of them time.

Hi Krista,
Ok, so I thought that the fashionista I am, my closet was in decent shape. But as it takes a deadline to get something done or putting your house on the market to REALLY get it the way you want, it took a trip to NY for the launch of my business to see what I couldn't before. Who wants to hit the streets of our nations Fashion Headquarters dressed like a Oregonian? Well, if I didn't do something about it I was going to be the one running after a cab in a short skirt and running shoes. So, it took about 5 previews of my closet, as you suggested, to really SEE clearly. Holy Moly...what was I thinking with that cable knit sweater from college (please don't ask how old I am) still hanging there next to the 'I have to have that' woven, checkered shirt that NO ONE would look good in. I guess I just took myself out of the running for the best dressed suburbanite and threw myself into the pit of debt because it is going to take a lot of my husbands hard earned money to make me stand out in NY. But, I did what I could and that preview and purge of my closet worked! I walked proudly down Lexington Avenue among all the NY running-shoe-wearing professionals and I looked better! Thanks for pushing me back in my closet with the eyes of a real organizer. Now, can you work on my office?

Erica!!!! I can't wait to see what you were wearing as you hit the biz scene in NYC... how sex in the city did you feel girlfriend?!
Now don't toss that cable knit sweater... your kids may just need it for 80's day! Mine is next to my pastel plaid drop waist dress circa '85 couture Judy's or was it Wet Seal.... hmmmm it's all a blur after a california cooler or was that boones farm.
